Historic Centenary Foundations

The formal narrative of tennis at RSGC represents over a century of continuous racquet sport development in Southeast Asia. Work on our historic current site commenced in 1920, with the clubhouse and initial golf layout completing in October 1921. Immediately following in 1922, the Club officially opened its initial eight dedicated tennis courts, forever embedding tennis into the foundational fabric of RSGC life.

From these early 1920s foundations, the RSGC Tennis Section rapidly matured into a prestigious sporting and social institution, maintaining an unbroken line of daily play, inter-club matches, and dedicated multi-generational community programming for over 104 years.
